Vin Darin, at 44 years old, serves as the Fire Chief of La Cuna, a role that underscores his deep commitment to public service and community safety. Prior to this, Vin had an illustrious and decorated career in the U.S. Army, retiring at the rank of Sergeant Major. His military service spanned over two decades, during which he distinguished himself as a leader in some of the most demanding and high-stakes environments.

Vin’s military qualifications are extensive and reflect his dedication to excellence. He is Infantry Qualified, meaning he was rigorously trained for frontline combat operations. His Ranger Qualification sets him apart as one of the elite soldiers trained in advanced combat techniques and survival skills under extreme conditions. Additionally, Vin is recognized as an Expert Marksman in both pistol and rifle, a testament to his precision and proficiency in firearms. He also holds qualifications as a Machine Gun Operator, further broadening his tactical skill set.

Beyond his combat expertise, Vin is an Explosives Expert, trained in the handling and disarming of a wide variety of explosive devices, a skill critical for both military operations and his current role in emergency services. He also served as a Counter Insurgency Instructor, where he trained soldiers on how to combat irregular warfare, focusing on strategy, intelligence, and field operations.

After retiring from his distinguished military career, Vin transitioned to firefighting, where he continues to apply his leadership and crisis management skills. As the La Cuna Fire Chief, he oversees a team responsible for fire prevention, emergency medical services, and disaster response.
